New infographic
We’re delighted to share our newest infographic with you: “Is this common for grief?” This is the third in our series of grief infographics to help people understand and respond to their own and others’ grief.
This infographic highlights some of the ways grief shows up in our bodies, behaviour, thinking, and feelings. Grief doesn’t always look or feel the way we expect it to, and it’s common to wonder if we are grieving “right.” (There is no “right” way to grieve, and everyone grieves in their own way.)
The first in the series, “Grief Is,” shares key facts about grief that are often misunderstood. For example, did you know that grief is something you live with, and that it changes over time?
The second in the series, “Ideas to Support Someone Who Is Grieving,” provides concrete suggestions of things to do and say to support others.
Post them in your office, and share them with a friend or family member—let’s help everyone become more aware of grief. You can download these infographics and share on social media, in newsletters, or on your website. You can tag us online @GriefAllianceCA.
We are grateful for the input of grief specialists and the members of our Great Big Grief Focus Group, as well as for a financial contribution from Health Canada.
